摘要: This paper presents the ecological effects by establishing asparagus in sandy wasteland with the integration of agroforestry in southern China. Asparagus F_1 hybrids survived the climate in subtropical desertification area. The augmentation of vegetative communities and cover rate was achieved in accordance with the development of high canopy density of asparagus plants. Soil fertility was enhanced with the improvement of soil property and structure. Wind velocity was significantly reduced to 48.4~75% after asparagus planting. It demonstrated that asparagus plantings could provide a sustainable way with economic value for environmental improvement in desertification area.
